Dr Mahanama is a Specialist General practitioner, fellow of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners who graduated from The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2006. Dr Mahanama has practiced medicine in both Sri lanka and Singapore before moving to Australia in 2016. In Australia, he worked at multiple public hospitals in South Australia, Tasmania & Victoria providing much needed care for the regional communities, before moving into general practice & obtaining fellowship with RACGP. He had previously consulted at cowes medical clinic for almost 3 years & returning to serve the community once more.

Dr Raza will bulk-bill all patients with a Medicare card. Dr Raza has been working in Australia since 2018. Worked in Queensland Health Hospitals as a registrar with extensive experience in 1. Geriatrics including chronic disease management. 5. children's health 6. women health Dr Raza is eagerly interested in all aspects of family medicine and looks forward to continuing my development as a general practitioner. Dr. Fernando completed his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Medical Science at The University of Sydney, prior to completing his postgraduate qualification of Doctor of Medicine (with Distinction) at The University of Melbourne in 2016. As a Medical Doctor, he obtained ample experience in medical and surgical specialties primarily based at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Dr Fernando followed his passion in rural medicine, currently servicing Cowes Urgent Care Centre and Wonthaggi Emergency Department in addition to providing General Practice services at Cowes Medical Centre.

Dr Gunawardana has over 10 years of medical experience in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Rehabilitation and Addiction medicine, Cardiology and General Surgery.

Graduating medical school in 2015, Alex has over five years’ experience in Emergency Departments across Victoria including Alfred in Melbourne, Wangaratta, Wonthaggi and in particular over three years at our own Cowes Urgent Care Centre. Alex also attends Victorian Racing Events as Race Day Doctor and is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Department of Paramedicine.

Alex has a passion for regional medicine and is looking forward to gaining experience in a rural GP practice as part of his rural generalist fellowship program. He is interested in treating patients from all backgrounds with all conditions with a special interest in emergency, trauma and injury as well as low carb diets!

Dr Olaussen is a mixed billing doctor. Bulk bills healthcare card and concession card holders and children 16 and under.
