Rick completed his psychology degree at Edith Cowan University
After a 20 year career in the Australian Navy Rick went to university and obtained his degree in psychology. He started work in the prison system, where he gained experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma – both recent and from childhood – as well as assessing clients at risk of self-harm and contributing to their management plan. Rick has worked with a wide variety of clients including indigenous people, military veterans, and clients with mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia.
In addition Rick became a trained facilitator of therapeutic and psycho-educational group programs, including being an accredited facilitator of the Gatekeeper suicide awareness program. He also has worked with men who have had anger issues and those who have have sexually offended and helped them with plans to keep themselves and others safe.
Rick is committed to helping people to have full and healthy lives within their means. He uses CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma.
Ryan Hansen

Ryan is a Registered Psychologist, with General Registration from the Psychology Board of Australia. Ryan has practiced in both the Private and Government sectors assisting with a variety of presentations, including: Depression, Anxiety, Work-related stress, Relationship breakdown, Interpersonal conflict, Trauma (PTSD), Pain management, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Substance-abuse disorders, Bi-polar disorder, Schizophrenia, and Personality disorders (Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Avoidant Personality Disorder).
Ryan is well succinct in one-on-one Psychotherapy and also has experience facilitating Group therapy, Family therapy and Couples therapy (Systemic Therapy). Ryan has experience assisting clients across the lifespan from ages of as young as 5 years, up to 70 years.
Ryan utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Ryan uses a empathic and compassionate approach to build rapport and help client’s feel comfortable in therapy so they can develop the skills and strategies required to manage any presenting barriers and achieve personal goals.
