Our female general practitioners with their high level of skills and their strong passion for women’s health provide all aspects of women’s health to perfection including:

General Practice Management Plan (GPMP)

Patients with a chronic or complex condition such as heart problems, asthma, diabetes, mental health issues, lung disease, chronic back pain and others may be eligible for GPMP.

Our doctors and our practice nurse will help you to manage those health issues and you will be involved in a plan to manage your own health. This is directly billed to Medicare so there is no cost to you. The GPMP is reviewed after 6 months to evaluate any changes to your health or medication and to generally support you with your GPMP.

Team Care Arrangement (TCA)

TCA is available so that patients with those chronic conditions can access a wide range of allied health services, e.g physiotherapy, podiatry, etc at no cost or very reduced costs. This is directly billed to Medicare so there is no cost to you or a reduced cost.

The TCA is also reviewed after 6 months to evaluate any changes to your health or lifestyle and to generally support you with GPMP.

If you are planning on travelling overseas, it is advisable to make an appointment with one of our GPs to obtain proper medical advice. During this appointment your doctor will discuss recommended vaccination for the particular country you are visiting and whether your existing vaccinations are all up to date.

Make sure you take these steps well in advance as many vaccinations require repeat doses, and/or take time to take effect. Visit the Department of Health website at health.gov.au for all the latest updates.

    This is available for children aged at least 3 years and less than 5 years of age, who have received or who are receiving their 4 year old immunisations.

    • Pre-employment medicals.
    • Offshore and remote medicals.
    • Insurance medicals.
    • Drug and alcohol screening.
    • Hearing test and spirometry.

All applicants need to book an appointment only for this purpose and check with our staff if any fees applicable.

Dr Anna Ord (MRCGP, FRACGP) is an ACNEM (Australasian College of Nutritional and environmental medicine) certified Doctor.

She will guide you on your journey to achieve your optimal health by focusing on the root causes of your symptoms.

This is available for all patients aged 40 – 49 years (inclusive) with a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Patients aged 45 to 19 years who are at risk of developing a ‘chronic’ disease. This check will address risk factors where there is no outward sign of a problem (such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol) or simply a family history of chronic disease. This service is also billed directly to Medicare.

Home Management Reviews

The doctors can arrange for an accredited pharmacist to visit you to review you medications with you. This is directly billed to Medicare with no costs.

Over 75’s Health Assessment

This annual check-up is for those who are over 75 years. It will be a comprehensive review of your physical health and is directly billed to Medicare so there is no out of pocket costs.

 

When detected early, melanoma can be successfully treated and surgically removed.
The earlier melanoma is detected the better changes for the therapy and less serious the surgical intervention for its removal.

Melanoma develops around existing moles or on seemingly normal skin. These pigmented skin lesions can be found on any individual on all parts of the body. Everybody therefore runs the risk of being affected by malignant changes of these skin areas, i.e tp develop a malignant melanoma.

The Kokoda Trail is located in remote mountainous jungle terrain in a tropical region. The climate is hot and humid. Much of the area is inaccessible by helicopter and remote from the nearest medical facility in Port Moresby. The trek itself is physically demanding and strenuous.

It is therefore important that you be physically fit.

We strongly recommend that you visit a Medical Doctor and advise them of your intentions to trek across the Kokoda Trail and request that he/she conducts a thorough medical examination to ensure you are physically capable of completing the trek.

We offer a multidisciplinary service on all sexual health matters. This include sexual health checks, STI testing and treatment, contraception and family planning.

Our GPs will help you with any fertility matters, and if needed will direct you to the required specialists and/or fertility centres.

This is available for all patients aged 40 – 49 years (inclusive) with a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
