Fiona grew up in Townsville where she pursued a passion for swimming, attaining the title of Australian Champion for 100m butterfly as a young teenager.
Fiona left the country for the big smoke of Brisbane to complete her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honours.
After travelling the world and then working for a Cancer Organisation for several years she returned to study Medicine at the University of Queensland, with an intern year at Nambour General Hospital followed by 2 more years in Nambour, Maleny and Gympie Hospitals.
Most recently she completed a year at Sunshine Coast University Hospital as a Paediatric Principal House Officer to further her interest in Paediatrics.
Fiona is interested in a variety of areas of Medicine including Paediatrics, Womens Health and Endocrinology and is keen to get started as a GP in 2019.
In her spare time she loves travelling, exercise, board games, eating good food and spending time camping or at the beach with her Fiancee and their baby girl.
