We are looking for a hands on Azure Infrastructure Specialist/Network Lead who will be responsible for the initial design and migration, and then overall management and architecture of Family Doctor’s Azure windows server VM and virtual desktop cloud solutions and network operations, including design, planning, implementation, operation, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have expert knowledge and hands on Azure virtual server and desktop design and management knowledge and skills.
- Provide leadership of all Network and Infrastructure matters.
- Lead initiatives and projects related to Data, Voice, and Video-based Communications.
- Design and build the Azure virtual server and desktop environment to best practice standards
- Manage the migration into Azure VM from other systems such as on prem servers and other cloud providers.
- Migrate M365/SP between tenancies.
- Administer, maintain, and monitor network systems including building a new SD-WAN or similar network solution.
- Monitor systems for utilisation, performance, availability, and security.
- Provide recommendations for upgrades and optimise resources as needed.
- Offer 3rd level support for information and network system users.
- Onboard, off-board, and manage vendors engaged by the organisation.
- Ensure procedural and technical documentation for information and network systems is up-to-date.
- This position will require participation in after-hours on-call activities and project work as necessary.
- Update and maintain the ICT change management system for new and existing change requests.
- Provide ICT technical advice and support to other ICT team members.
- Offer mentoring to members of the ICT team.
Key Requirements:
- Expert knowledge and hands on experience in Azure environments including virtual server, virtual desktop, app streaming and cybersecurity.
- Extensive expertise in leading network vendor technologies, including Palo Alto, Cisco, and Meraki.
- Proven track record in managing national WANs, Hybrid Cloud, and Multi-Vendor networks.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, budget, and execute medium to large-scale network projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles for modern network architecture and maintenance.
- Proficient in collaborating with vendors on LAN/WAN Technologies and Wi-Fi Technologies.
- Extensive experience in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive firewall solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of IP Telephony systems, ensuring seamless communication infrastructure.
- Expertise in integrating Enterprise Networks with Cloud Service providers, optimising connectivity and scalability.
- Desirable – experience providing Network support to a healthcare organisation
