As a Diabetes Educator at Family Doctor, you will have a pivotal role in helping individuals navigate the challenges of diabetes and lead healthier, happier lives.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized diabetes management plans
- Empower patients by providing education on nutrition, exercise, and medication management
- Conduct group sessions and one-on-one consultations to support patients in achieving their health goals
Preferred Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in diabetes education or related healthcare field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in developing and delivering educational materials
- Understanding of cultural, social, and economic factors affecting diabetes management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Dietetics, or related field
- Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) highly preferred
- Current registration with relevant professional board or association
