As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.
Role Overview:
Due to the rapid growth of Family Doctor, this new position to the finance team provides an opportunity for you to make it your own and offers a genuine pathway to Financial Controller. The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in leading external reporting, tax compliance and the annual audit, ensuring compliance with relevant IFRS requirements. Strong leadership experience is critical, developing junior team members and overseeing accounts payable, receivable and month end processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of junior team members to ensure efficient service delivery of financial operation functions
- Ensure month-end processes meet strict timelines
- Review and resolution of general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of internal management financial statements
- Assist with external covenant reporting requirements
- Leadership of technical accounting requirements, annual financial accounts and coordination of external audit
- Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve financial management within the organisation.
Qualifications:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Previous experience in a similar role with Big 4/Second Tier experience (3+ years post qualifications)
- Experience with large ERP, MYOB Advanced (Acumatica)
- Proven experience leading statutory financial reporting and external audit, preferably within the healthcare sector or service-based industry
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and correspondences effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and financial software applications.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a finance team and across other business teams.
