The Opportunity
Our busy medical centre is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist looking to take the next step.

As a senior receptionist, you will be part of the reception team and support the Practice Manager in the day to day operation of the Medical Centre.

The position is offered on a Permanent full time basis. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to the Practice Manager with staff management and general administrative processes
  • Assist the Practice Manager with implementing initiatives and promotions to improve centre performance
  • Maintaining a safe, healthy and professional working environment
  • Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with the National Standards of Accreditation
  • Welcome and assist patients with enquires and appointments
  • Answer and respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Accurately process patient payments via direct bill, cash and TYRO
  • Support the provision of accurate and timely financial and practice data
  • Take responsibility for staff management and the efficient delivery of administrative and customer service aspects of the centre in the Practice Manager’s absence

Requirements:

  • Previous medical reception experience is essential
  • Understanding of business operations in a healthcare practice
  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to master new processes and IT
  • Previous experience with Best Practice Software is an advantage
  • Previous leadership or supervisory position in a medical practice is desirable
