Profil Description

Dr Khadeeja graduated from Kabul Medical University in Afghanistan in 1990. Then worked in Afghanistan in a chest hospital for almost 2 years following graduation. She migrated to different countries like Pakistan and worked as an assistant lecturer and general practitioner in there, then to USA and finally migrated to Australia in 1999 with her son to join her family and to live here. While caring for her son as a single parent, caring for a relative with Motor Neuron disease and doing volunteer works in Monash Health hospital, Dr Khadeeja passed Australian medical Council exams in 2010.

She then spent 5 years working across different sites of Monash Health (Casey, Dandenong, Monash Medical Center and Traralgon Hospitals) in different departments.

For the past 5 years, Dr Khadeeja, while caring for her late parents with chronic disease, decided to work in general practice in an After-hours medical deputizing service. She is getting ready to obtain RACGP fellowship through practice experience pathway and decided to join Long Street clinic to gain experience in Rural General practice.

During her time off, she enjoys cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her son and family.
