Our Staff

Medical Students

The Clinic participates in the training of medical students from the University of Melbourne and other training centres. We enjoy having students working along side us and value their contribution to our team.  From time to time you may be invited to assist with the education of these students by allowing them to share in your care. This is always your choice and you are free to decline.

The Nursing Team

Seymour Medical Clinic has four nurses involved in all aspects of primary health care. Sarah, Amy, and Marie  staff the treatment room providing urgent and routine patient care. This includes wound management, spirometry, vaccinations, travel health services, health assessments, ECG, audiometry, employment checks, and chronic disease management.

In addition, our nurses also complete health assessments for our patients who are aged 75 or over. This is a yearly assessment which is usually done in the home. The program aims to ensure our senior patients are supported to maintain their well being and quality of life in their own homes. We can also arrange a health assessment for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients on request.

Jen looks after the Coordinated Veterans’ Care  (CVC) Program sponsored by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. The program is a coordinated health care model for eligible Gold Card holders. A personalised comprehensive care plan is created and delivered through an ongoing partnership between the veteran, the GP, and the nurse coordinator.

A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes in our busy clinic to provide an efficient working environment for the medical team, and healthy outcomes for our patients. Our team includes many long term employees with valuable knowledge and experience.

Practice Management

For operational management a team-based approach has been developed. Rebecca O’Loughlin is the  Practice Manager. IJ Halicki coordinates reception and Sarah Pyle is the lead nurse.

Please address initial inquires about the practice to Rebecca via email to admin@seymourmedical.com.au

The reception staff are very hard working and committed group coordinated by Inderjit, who is known to most of us as IJ. The team includes  Carol, Kerrie, Rosey , Kathie & Shannon.
