Dr. Shafee is a compassionate and skilled General Practitioner who brings over a decade of
rich, hands-on experience to Kangaroo Flat Medical Centre. After earning her medical degree
from the prestigious Dow Medical College in Pakistan, she returned to Sri Lanka, where she
spent the next ten years honing her craft and serving her community. In November 2023, Dr.
Shafee achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the top scorer in South Asia for the
MRCGP OSCE, a testament to her clinical excellence and commitment to advancing her skills.
From bustling hospital wards to the focused care of clinic settings and even the fast-paced
intensity of ICU units, Dr. Shafee’s career is a reflection of her adaptability and dedication. With
expertise spanning medicine, gynecology & obstetrics, and surgery, she has touched countless
lives. Her time in the labor room, helping to usher new life into the world, remains a cherished
chapter in her journey.
Passionate about women’s health and chronic disease management, Dr. Shafee thrives on
creating meaningful connections with her patients and empowering them to take charge of their
well-being. Fluent in English, Memoni, Hindi/Urdu, Sinhalese, and Tamil, she brings a unique
ability to communicate and build trust with individuals from all walks of life.
Now, as she steps into her new role in Australia, Dr. Shafee is excited to embrace this next
chapter, bringing her warmth, experience, and unwavering commitment to the Kangaroo Flat
community.
Outside her practice, Dr. Shafee’s creativity shines in the kitchen, where she finds solace in
cooking after a long day. She also enjoys painting and cherishes spending time with her family,
which fuels her drive to balance life and work seamlessly.
