Psychologist -
BA (Psych), GradDipPsych, DPsych (Forensic)
I’m a highly trained and experienced psychologist with a doctorate in forensic psychology, working with adult clients across a broad range of mental health concerns. My approach focuses on helping people make sense of their experiences, to understand the patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties and develop practical ways to feel better and function more confidently in everyday life.
I commonly work with concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship issues, and adjustment to life changes. I also support people with the impact of trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma, as well as the longer-term effects of difficult or adverse life experiences.
Therapy is tailored to each individual and may draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This allows us to explore both current challenges and, where helpful, the earlier experiences that may be influencing the challenges - while always keeping the work grounded, practical, and relevant to a client’s goals.
I have worked across both public and private settings, including with individuals experiencing longstanding or more complex mental health difficulties. My work has also been informed by international experience in behavioural research and applied psychology, which contributes to a thoughtful, flexible, and collaborative therapeutic style.
I place strong emphasis on creating a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside clients to develop insight, build coping strategies, and support meaningful and sustainable change, helping a client to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and resilience
Areas of experience:
