This excludes procedures and skin checks. Dr Eoin McDonnell completed his undergraduate medical training and post-graduate GP training in Ireland, followed by a Masters in Sport Medicine. He worked as a GP in Ireland for several years before moving to Australia in 2012. Dr McDonnell has a special interest in Chronic Disease Management and Skin Cancer Medicine. Dr McDonnell can do implanon procedures- however an appointment prior is required to discuss. Please note: Dr McDonnell no longer prescribes bio-identical or natural thyroid hormones.

Dr Geoffrey Ye is only available for telephone consults of existing patients of Core Medical. Dr Geoffrey Ye graduated with his medical degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney in 2014. He subsequently worked at a variety of hospitals in Sydney and surrounds, obtaining experience in many fields before entering General Practice training. He obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2023.

This excludes procedures and skin checks. Dr John Iyamu comes to us from the UK where he completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, followed by GP training. He then went on to be a successful practice owner and principal GP before moving to Australia in 2016. His special interest is in skin cancer management, both medical and surgical, and skin checks including the use of Dermoscopy & mole scan photography. He also does other minor surgical procedures for benign skin lesions including cyst removal, skin tag removal and benign lesion removal. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery and Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy from University of Queensland. For the last 6 years, he has led a skin clinic within a GP practice. Outside of practice Dr Iyamu enjoys running, swimming, canoeing and spending time with his family. Areas of interest: Skin Cancer Checks Skin Cancer Management Skin Cancer Surgery Non-Cancer Mole Removal Education: Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery with QLD University Advanced Certificate Skin Surgery with QLD University Dr Iyamu is also involved in Chronic Disease Management such as Diabetes & Cardiovascular Disease. Dr Iyamu can do implanon procedures- however an appointment prior is required to discuss. Dr Iyamu will discuss with you any possible skin procedures necessary at the time of your Skin Check appointment.

This excludes procedures and skin checks. Dr Katharine Merrifield has joined our practice in 2023 from the United Kingdom. Originally from South Africa, she acquired her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 2007. She has worked and trained in the UK since 2010, initially in Paediatrics where she achieved her Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She subsequently completed her General Practice postgraduate training and has worked within the UK primary health-care setting ever since. Dr Merrifield is passionate about all aspects of General Practice and provides holistic and evidence-based care. She has a special interest and experience in Children’s Health, Women’s Health, Elderly Care Medicine and Chronic Disease Management. Dr Khaleda Edib is only available for telephone consults of existing patients of Core Medical. Core Medical is a mixed-billing practice. Dr Khaleda Edib graduated from University of Dhaka in Bangladesh and also holds a Diploma in Child Health. She has been practicing in Australia for almost 10 years now while managing her young family at the same time. She is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP). Dr Edib is a dedicated General Practitioner and to her family. She ensures that she provides comprehensive and empathetic to all her patients.

Pamela is a Physiotherapist and Educator with over 20 years' experience in the management of Musculoskeletal conditions across the public, private and education sectors in the UK and Australia. Pamela has worked as a lecturer in the Undergraduate Physiotherapy program at the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) supporting and developing students to become the next generation of Physiotherapists. Pamela is keen to contribute in a positive way to the health of the Port Kennedy/Warnbro community. She hopes to facilitate the best outcome for a person, through open and honest communication, evidence based practice, shared-decision making and empowering the individual to play an active part in their health care journey.
