Dr Immi has been with PVH Medical since February 2012. She is a fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in chronic disease management, mental health and children’s health.
She is quite a busy mum, entertaining her two boys in her free time.
Dr Bill enjoys all aspects of general practice and has special interests in paediatrics, shared care obstetrics, and minor surgical procedures.
Bill is skilled in insertion of Implanon and Intra Uterine device (Mirena/Copper IUD). He is married with five children and enjoys playing golf, watching cricket and the AFL. He is an avid Collingwood supporter.
Tina completed her medical degree in December 2010. Following completion of her internship resident year, she commenced GP training in 2013. Prior to her medical degree, she studied a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a PhD in Chemistry.
Tina enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly women and children’s health, chronic disease management and undertaking skin excisions. For her, being part of a patient’s health journey is such a rewarding experience. She speaks Italian.
Dr Tom is passionate about family and paediatric medicine, chronic disease management, caring for elderly patients as well as women’s and men’s health.
He previously worked as a physiotherapist and has a strong interest in musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr Theo has worked in Pascoe Vale since 1995. He has extensive experience in general practice including general medicine, aged care, men’s health and paediatrics.
He performs minor surgical procedures including removal of skin lesions. He has a keen interest and is involved in improving and developing health services in the local area.
Dr Ray graduated over 30 years ago. He has an interest in all areas of family medicine, especially paediatrics, allergies, asthma, dermatitis, diabetes, cardiology and respiratory issues and minor surgery.
He has a Diploma in Obstetrics and is also a Fellow of The Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Nayana started her career as an intern at Newcastle John Hunter Hospital. She worked at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Northern Hospital before moving in to general practice in 2009.
Nayana has interest in chronic disease, women’s health, children’s health, skin disease and aged care. She is passionate about supporting terminally ill patients and has gained advanced training in palliative care.
Outside of work, Nayana enjoys spending time with her family. She speaks Sinhalese, Russian and English.
Dr Matthew completed medical training at Melbourne University. He is interested in all aspects of general health and well-being, and has a special interest in preventative health and men’s health.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys swimming and the company of his rescue pet greyhound.
Mahirun graduated medicine in 2005. After completing her residency in various hospitals in Victoria, she started general practice training and received her fellowship in 2016. Mahirun also holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She has a special interest in antenatal care, women’s health including contraceptive counselling, preventative medicine and chronic disease management.
Mahirun offers antenatal shared care and is skilled in insertion of Implanon and Intra Uterine device (Mirena/Copper IUD).
Dr Amy Liu completed a medical degree at Deakin University. She has a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Royal Australian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She also holds a Professional Certificate in Dermatology and Diploma of Child health via the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.
Dr Luiz Cavalcante graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2016. He spent several years doing a diverse range of specialty rotations in hospitals, and now enjoys applying his experience into all aspects of general practice.
He has a patient-centred holistic approach, with a particular interest in emergency medicine, preventive medicine, and musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr Louise Spillman studied and trained in Western Australia, and worked for two years in regional Western Australia. She’s passionate about women’s health.
In her free time, she enjoys running, baking and spending time with family.
Louisa graduated from Monash University in 1991. She undertook her GP training in the Northern Territory and has practiced in country Victoria and Melbourne, working at PVH Medical since 2005.
She is interested in illness prevention, mental health, women’s health and chronic disease management.
Dr Joshua Geraghty has completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) at The University of Melbourne.
Dr Josh has interest in all aspects of general practice including men’s health, mental health, and child and maternal health. He has a special interest in chronic disease management.
Dr John graduated from Monash University and has been working as a GP in Pascoe Vale for over 25 years.
His interests are in chronic disease management, paediatrics and sports musculo-skeletal medicine. Outside of work, he loves being with his family, supporting Collingwood, and photography.
Dr Jason Nguyen prides himself on building long-term patient-centered relationships. He focuses on your individual circumstances to help you make informed health decisions.
He enjoys all aspects of general practice including children’s health, antenatal care, men’s health, women’s health, aged care and chronic disease management. He also has interest in diabetes, allergies, eczema and asthma management. He will always put emphasis on prevention being better than cure.
Dr Jason can prescribe PREP, and insert and remove Implanon.
Outside of work, you can find him watching entertaining movies, enjoying a good coffee and hanging out with his two children.
Ian completed a science degree at Melbourne University followed by medicine at Flinders University in Adelaide, graduating at the end of 2000. He commenced GP training at the start of 2014, having spent the intervening years working primarily in paediatrics.
Ian has special interest in child, adolescent and men’s health, as well as preventative health to lay the ground work for future health.
Gabbie graduated from the University of Melbourne and has since completed a Masters of Sexual and Reproductive Medicine, and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has special interests in women’s health, pregnancy care, mental health, and paediatrics.
She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, two young daughters, and their two dogs.
Dr Elizabeth Williams is an experienced GP who enjoys the wide variety of her work, whilst having a special interest in women’s health and children’s health. She also likes to work with people to help them be well, both mentally and physically.
Dr Elizabeth is supervising the medical students who attend the practice, and so she often has a student doctor with her.
Dr Elizabeth graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.
She is privileged to continue caring for patients whose previous GPs were members of her own family, dating all the way back to the 1950s.
Dr Elizabeth practises with her therapy dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Dash.
Claire completed her medical training at Melbourne University. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, women’s health and children’s health and enjoys the continuity of care that general practice provides.
In her spare time, she enjoys running and swimming to keep fit and being active with her two young girls.
