Early in his medical career, he has had an interest in rural health which led him to further his education and experience in the UK where he obtained his post graduate diplomas. He has had broad experience in rural general practice since 1987.He has interest in overseas aid medical work as well as helping short term in remote areas of Australia. He enjoys keeping fit in the gym and swimming pool, as well as taking an active role in his church where he serves as an elder.
