Dr Nick Martin is a GP who joined the Victoria Point Surgery team in 2019. Nick sees his patients as whole people, not just single ailments, and believes in working together with people to achieve their best health outcomes. He believes everybody deserves a GP who listens to them, understands them, and has their trust. Dr Martin is a licensed s100 prescriber for HIV medications.
Nick completed his medical training at the University of Queensland in 2014, and achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. Prior to joining the clinic, Nick has worked in both general practices and also in the areas of sexual health, Indigenous health, and refugee health. Nick loves the diversity that general practice offers – there is no patient or condition that he doesn’t see.
Outside of work he enjoys keeping fit and active, spending time at the beach, and relaxing with a coffee and a good book.

Dr Matthew Isbel completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2005. He then spent his junior doctor years working in various Brisbane public hospitals. He also spent several years as an anaesthetics trainee, before deciding to join the world of general practice. He has been at Victoria Point Surgery since 2014 and enjoys seeing all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in teenagers and adolescents.
Outside of work, Matt can be found playing cricket with his friends, going to the movies, drawing, and cooking.

Prior to moving to Brisbane in 2018 he was a Course Director for the Medical School at the University of Cambridge and Medical Director for 5 GP Practices in the UK. He is a generalist and happy to see patients with any medical problems. He has a particular interest in chronic disease management, aged care, diabetes and men’s health. Dr Jose Alapatt completed his medical training in India in 1975. He then worked for 10 years in the hospital and in private practice general medicine and paediatrics in India. He then travelled to South Africa, where he worked as a "jack-of-all-trades" for 11 years. Dr Jose has been a GP in Australia since 2002 and with Victoria Point Surgery since 2004. He enjoys all areas of general practice, particularly skin checks and removal of skin lesions as well as paediatrics.
Outside of work, Jose enjoys gardening and is always bringing in amazing roses he has grown. He also enjoys camping in all sorts of far flung places.

Dr John Tucker completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of London in 1991. He has worked both in the UK and Australia. He has particular interest in chronic disease management planning, skin lesion excisions, aviation medicine and pilot medicals. He is an authorised Voluntary Assisted Dying practitioner.
Dr Tucker is a qualified pilot and gliding instructor. Other than flying, he enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, plants and squash. He is married with 2 grown-up children.

Dr Sherlene Tan first came to the practice as a GP registrar and has stayed on after completing her Fellowship of the RACGP. She enjoys many areas of general practice.
Sherlene is also busy outside of medicine. She has a black belt, 2nd dan in Tae Kwon Do, maintains numerous crafting obsessions including hand embroidery, sculpting clay and drawing. She is also an expert in construction vehicles including backhoes, excavators and dump trucks thanks to her 4-year-old son. She is also an expert in the seven forms of lightsaber combat.

Dr Bruce Willett is the owner and principal GP at the Victoria Point Surgery and Chair of the Queensland College of GPs. Dr Bruce has been in general practice for over 20 years in the Redlands area, and along with his doctor wife Gertrude, raised their three daughters in Victoria Point. Dr Bruce has a special interest in gastric band adjustment, weight management, skin checks, joint injections and family health.
Dr Bruce is a GP supervisor, training the next generation of GP’s at the surgery. He is also the Chair of RACGP Queensland for 2018-2020.

Dayaan has been working as a physiotherapist for the last 5 years in the Redlands. He graduated from Griffith university in 2015 with a Master's in physiotherapy and has since gained experience treating a wide variety of conditions. Dr Yan Lee completed his RACGP Fellowship registrar training with us and has returned as a full time GP. He completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland and his residency through multiple hospitals including the PA Hospital, Queensland Children's Hospital, Redland Hospital, QEII Hospital, St Vincent's Private Hospital and Tully Hospital (rural relieving).
He is passionate about education and is currently an Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland as well as a medical educator with GP Training Queensland.
In his spare time, he enjoys life as a musician and tennis player.

Dr Bridget Barker is a specialist general practitioner, and fellow member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Like her late father, the inimitable Dr Noel Barker, she considers herself to be a family physician - a doctor who provides comprehensive health care for people of all ages and genders across their lifetime.
Having grown up in the Redland Shire, Bridget studied degrees in health information and psychology and worked as a senior researcher and epidemiologist at the University of New South Wales National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre and the University of Queensland Australian Burden of Disease Centre.
Bridget returned to study Medicine at Bond university as a mature age student. She was fortunate to train at the Princess Alexandra, QEII and Redland hospitals. She went on to start her specialty training in general practice in 2015. She has spent the past five years as a fellowed GP at her late fathers practice and is very grateful for the experiences and learning opportunities she had there.
Bridget is passionate about: (1) helping people, (2) learning and (3) evidence based medicine. She enjoys the continuous medical education that is part of a good GPs life and feels extremely fortunate to share peoples health journeys and medical challenges with them.

Dr Sherwin Goh obtained his Medical degree from the University of Tasmania with Honours. He has worked in hospitals in Adelaide and Brisbane, including areas of Orthopaedics, Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics. He has subsequently completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. Having worked in different environments and being dual Fellowship trained, he has gained valuable experience and skills to work with individuals to find solutions.
He considers everybody an athlete and enjoys consulting people from all walks of life with sporting and musculoskeletal injuries or medical issues. He has served in the military, published research in concussion, regularly participates in ongoing learning to keep up to date with current evidence, and has a holistic approach to health and performance. He will work closely with your GP specialist and other specialists in their fields to give you practical advice, intervene with exercise prescription, medications and appropriate injections.

Dr Claire Mohr first came to Victoria Point Surgery in 2017. She has a special interest in women's health, including contraception, pregnancy care and menopause management. Claire is a member of the Australian Menopause Society and the International Menopause Society. She is certified to perform hormonal IUD and contraceptive implants insertions (and removals).
Dr Claire is also a supervisor with RACGP, helping to train the next generation of GPs and also participates with teaching of medical students from time to time.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys baking and cooking, reading, and running when she's not being kept busy by her young sons.

Our GPs manage the full spectrum of general practice care for families in Victoria Point.
