General Practitioner -

Dr Carl Loveridge is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Metabolic Medicine. He graduated with an MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2010 and has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital in the areas of General Medicine, Obstetric Medicine, General Surgery, Neonatology, Haematology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Emergency Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked in General Practice in Goondiwindi, Gympie and Brisbane.

He is currently near completion of a Master of Metabolic Medicine from the University of Sydney, which focuses on treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease (heart attacks and stroke), diabetes, and obesity. He believes in a holistic, evidence-based, and patient-centred approach to medicine with the aim to empower people to maximise their physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being.

General Practitioner -

Dr Chrys Michaelides has been a GP for more than 35 years, and has a special interest in chronic disease management. He has been running structured mini-clinic care of diabetes since 1988, and has been involved in multi-disciplinary diabetes programmes at a community level since the early 1990’s initially with a podiatrist and dietitian.

Dr Michaelides has been involved with numerous advisory boards dealing with GP education for the development of programmes to help optimise outcomes for GPs and their patients through a structured care model. His current model of care is the fully integrated team approach to chronic disease management including exercise physiologist, psychologist, podiatrist, dietitian, practice nurse, and clinical measurement nurse.

Hi everyone. My name is Dr John N Curran, and I am VERY MUCH looking forward to starting to work with you at the Mater Hill Family Practice. I graduated Medicine and Surgery at University of Queensland in December 1987. I worked at Ipswich General Hospital for 3 yrs from 1988 then 2 yrs at Mater Childrens’ starting in 1991.I completed a Diploma of Obstetrics in 1991.In 1993, I returned to Ipswich to start my training in General Practice and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a specialist GP in 1995. I have worked in my old practice in Ipswich ever since for,30 yrs. I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge but most importantly I've learned to listen to each person's story and to put them first and foremost with care, understanding and respect. My passions are obstetrics, paediatrics especially developmental paediatrics to help kids shine and Mental Health. One of the highlights of my career is delivering 61 babies, the last of which I delivered on my office couch! The trust your patients put in you is very special and I hope over the next few years I will earn your trust. One of the reasons I chose to come to the Mater Hill Family Practice is they share this view.

Dr Kris Fawcett has worked in skin cancer medicine for over 20 years. She performs complete dermoscopic skin examinations of all lesions and utilises the DermEngine digital imaging system to assist in monitoring lesions. Her practice incorporates biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, radiosurgery and non-surgical management of lesion / skin cancers where appropriate. Dr Fawcett has a passionate interest in prevention of skin cancer, sun protection, anti-ageing and skin repair advice. Dr Fawcett takes on new patients on a case-by-case basis.

General Practitioner -

Dr Olga Simeonidis MBBS FRACGP BScience completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2008 and undertook her residency years at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, focusing her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, general medicine and general surgery. She later became a Fellow of the College of General Practitioners in 2014, and joined our practice in 2016.

Dr Simeonidis has a passion for medicine and provides non-judgemental, personalised and very thorough health care to her patients. She believes in working with her patients to achieve the best possible health outcome for them.

Dr Simeonidis is a Mater Hospital aligned GP for antenatal care and enjoys all aspects of general practice. Her special interests include women’s health, family medicine, mental health, paediatrics, weight loss management, and chronic disease management.

Dr Pujitha has been working in General Practice in Australia since 2012, having worked in South Australia and Queensland. After graduating in Sri Lanka, his first job was Anaesthetist to the war torn East of Sri Lanka during the civil war in 2000. His special interests include neurology, skin medicine and mental health. During Dr Pujitha’s free time he likes to paint Abstract art and make sculptures. Other interests include listening to music, walking in nature and watching movies. I am spiritual by nature and like meditation and aspire to learn more about alternative ways to healing.

General Practitioner -

Dr Sandy Lee is a Queensland-trained General Practitioner with interests in all areas of general practice and a broad range of experience. Dr Lee is trained in IUD insertion and removal (Cert Sexual and Reproductive Health with FPAA), skin procedures (Grad Cert Skin Cancer), public health (Masters), child health (Diploma).

Dr Lee believes in mutual respect and kindness between patients and staff. Dr Lee does not prescribe long term drugs of dependence. Dr Lee is a Taiwanese Australian who speaks Mandarin and understands conversational Hokkien and Japanese.
