Dr Shein graduated from the University of Medicine 2 Yangon, Myanmar in 2011. Dr Shein recently joined Hazelwood Health Care as a General Practitioner. He has previously worked with National Home Doctor Service (13SICK) over last two years. He also worked with various hospitals across Victoria including Swan Hill District Health, Ballarat Base Hospital, Western Health as a hospital medical officer over a period of 4 years in multiple specialities during which he acquired skills that are core to understanding diagnosis and providing better treatment. He also has an experience as a locum doctor and used to work at Latrobe Hospital Emergency Department as registrar. Dr Shein moved to Australia in 2012 . He is married with two children and his hobbies include aquarium specifically aquascaping . He has special interest in aquatic plants and he enter the international aquascaping contest. He also loves travelling , playing guitar, video gaming and photography.

Dr Mayuri Hakmana Hewage is our 1st female Doctor we have had in the clinic for approximately 18 months. Her Special interests are: General Medicine, Women's Health, Paediatrics, Mental Health, Chronic Disease Management, Childhood vaccinations.

Dr Pwint Thinzar Hlaing MBBS started with us in April 2025. Her Interests are: General Medicine, Women's Health,, Children's Health, Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health, Men's Health.

Dr. Jee is a caring and approachable General Practitioner who provides comprehensive medical care for individuals, children, and families across all stages of life. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and building long-term relationships with her patients and the local community. She has extensive experience in Family Medicine, having worked in both hospital and general practice settings. Dr. Jee holds an MBBS from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and completed her postgraduate training through the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine and a Doctor of Medicine in Family Medicine. She is also an International Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK [MRCGP (INT)]. Dr. Jee’s clinical interests include newborn and child health, women’s and mothers’ health (including antenatal and postnatal care), chronic disease management, general medical care, mental health, and elderly care. She has a strong focus on preventive health and works closely with her patients to develop individualized care plans that support long-term wellbeing. She is fluent in English and Sinhala languages. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jee enjoys spending time with her family, cycling, gardening, and travelling. She looks forward to supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals and families in the Churchill and surrounding Latrobe Valley community. Patients can expect a warm, respectful, and collaborative approach, with time taken to listen, explain conditions clearly, and support informed health decisions.

Dr. Sam is an experienced General Practitioner who graduated with a Doctor of Medicine in 2002. He has a broad clinical background, having worked extensively as a hospital doctor and GP in Sri Lanka before continuing his medical career in Australia. He holds a post graduate Master’s Degree in Family Medicine (General Practice) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo (2024), and completed the MRCGP (International) in 2015. His qualifications also include a Postgraduate Diploma in Elderly Medicine, MCGP (Sri Lanka), and a Master of Science in Community Medicine(MSc). He previously worked as an Associate Specialist in Family Medicine in Sri Lanka. Dr. Sam’s clinical interests include elderly care, chronic disease management, family medicine, women’s and men’s health, mental health, pediatrics, and minor procedures. Outside of work, Dr Sam enjoys spending time with family, cycling and travelling. He is committed to providing holistic, patient-centered, evidence-based care and values building long-term, trusted relationships with patients and families in Churchill and the wider Latrobe Valley, offering a warm, respectful, and collaborative approach with clear communication and shared decision-making.
