Dr Chalani is a compassionate physician with a strong background in general and emergency medicine. She completed her medical degree in Sri Lanka in 2016 and went on to gain extensive experience across multiple specialities.
In 2021, she relocated to Sydney, Australia, where she worked as an emergency medicine registrar for 3 years, including a short-term placement in intensive care. In early 2024, she moved to Victoria and worked as a locum emergency medicine registrar across several regional hospitals before transitioning into a career in general practice.
Dr Chalani is passionate about providing holistic and patient-centered care. Her broad clinical background allows her to approach patients with a deep understanding of both acute and long-term health needs.
She is fluent in English and Sinhalese which enables her to connect effectively with a diverse patient population. Outside of her medical practice, Dr Chalani enjoys bushwalking and travelling.
